GPU Pro - Advanced Rendering Techniques
Sunday, October 4, 2009 | Permalink

In the not too distant future the book GPU Pro - Advanced Rendering Techniques will be published. If you haven't heard of it, it's basically what was formerly known as ShaderX 8, with the distinct difference that it'll be in full color, which is great. The book has a blog over here where additional information will be posted soon.

A few days ago I finished the last stuff for my contribution. I'm writing two articles in it, with these titles:

It looks like you made the 2nd title short to compensate the length of the 1st one... as if you felt guilty for an academic-like title ;-)

Are you allowed to tell us a little bit about your approach on texture and geometry management?

Looking forward to Just Cause 2 and your gems,

The longest title wins! Or the shortest. Staying out of the mainstream anyway.

Not sure if there's much interesting to say about texture and geometry management. There's an article over here written by one of our guys about the streaming:

It's from 2006, but I think we're staying pretty close to the main idea still.

Thanks for the link!

Not necessarily the sexiest discussion topic, but interesting nonetheless (imho).

All I need now is to get a Win7 installed somewhere to run Your latest demos!

(Maybe You'll do an inferred lighting demo?)

Wish You all the best,

GianT
