It is a problem with DirectX, it occurs when
PC crash with an open DX application running,
It also prevent some app that uses DX9 and DX8
to work ( for ex. The previous DX phong Illumination Demo, UT2003, Gothic)
(Or at least seems to me)
I fixed the problem unistalling the video drivers
and reinstalling it (but seems not to work everytime)

Got it to work now, upgraded to DirectX 9.1b and to the latest nVidia drivers. Not sure which helped, but it runs fine now. Good one Humus.

rob, open the registry and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Humus. Then delete all the entries in that folder. It should reset all settings. It helped for another guy, so it might help for you too.

Get Only A black screen, i see only the light circle

Hmm, weird! To me all walls are black, and I only see a small circle on the floor. I'm using a GeForce FX 5200.
