Well, Google is bound to be another Microsoft soon enough. It's just a matter of time before they too become an "evil corporation". They aren't exactly angels, even though they may try to portray themselves as good, and so far fairly successfully, but as have been shown with their deal with the Chinese regime for instance it's pretty obvious that they don't have any higher moral standards than anyone else.

Actually, I don't think the US is the worst. That would probably be Germany.

this really is only an issue in the Excited States of America isn't it? I've not heard any other country's politicians blaming their problems on video games.... anyone?

at the moment it's vaporware... so it's little more than just a chance to stir some shit with MS.

It's curious that they haven't even an beta or alpha to show, yet have generated so much media hype over their simple blog posting.

It's also curious why no one seems worried about the massive amount of personal and surfing data google has amassed. Just read the EULA for android and search page. It will be the same for their vaporware netbook OS.... yet no one seems disturbed? Where are all those privacy nuts who decried Microsoft's much less intrusive EULA?

Well, being that it's just another linux distro, it should run on anything.
