Hmm... I don't think ATI knows everyone with a Radeon 9700 Pro :-P. I have one too and it's a damn good card, even faster than the GeForce FX in some cases. Can someone confirm if the R300 is faster with ARB_fragment_program than the GeForce FX?

hm.. looking at those neat d3d9 demos.. requirement: float32 cubemap render target. isn't that what the gfFX lacks? nvidia really has a problem.. really, they do..

hm.. some weeks not really often online, and look how live changed. you're now at ati.. woah.. send them some greetings from me (i bet nobody knows me there, but i'm a radeon9700pro owner, too..)

hm canada, was there.. 1 year ago? hm, more.. and yes, you definitely have to see the niagara falls, they are cute. and other stuff, too, its a really nice region there.

i bet you have fun over there, coding a bit around with gl2 and all that.. looks like your dreams come true, right?

just one question? is it great? or are you not allowed to say that, HAHA

anyways, have a nice time over there, you get my best wishes.

Well, frankly I don't have a whole lot of information either. It's been said a few times here and there in various forums etc that the shader language is pretty much set in stone by now, but I don't really know if that's actually the case.

Well, its great that vendors are working on GL2 drivers and they don't completely focus on the DirectX counterpart. I understand you can't talk too widely about your job, but can't you talk loosely about the progress of GL2 and important milestones in its developement? You surely don't have to talk about explicit ATI stuff, but GL2 in general. After all, OpenGL is an open API right?

NeoKenobi:
I'm not sure how much I can tell really. I suspect ATi don't want me to talk too widely about what's going on over here. I'll try to keep it safe and just say that I'll work on GL2. I won't talk about the status on driver and so on, just state what should be obvious anyway that there are work done on GL2 drivers. I expect the same to be true for all or most other vendors too.

Congrats, Humus! You really deserve it.

Oh and BTW,
I hope you aren't there in 2010 - you'd have to get up early every day to watch the Salzburg Olympic Games...*eg*

Nice to see you're having a good time. Hopefully, we'll see you here in Vancouver in 2010 when we host the Olympics! (Or maybe even sooner!)
